5 FACTS ABOUT SUMMER OLYMPIC GAMES

1. The first summer Olympic games was held  in Athens , Greece from 6 to 15 April 1986. Fourteen nations participated in the event.The winners were given  a silver medal an olive branch and a diploma whereas runners up received  a copper medal  laurel branch and a diploma.
2. Summer Olympic games  was hosted  for the most times by United States of America(4 times).London was the first city to host the summer Olympics 3  times
3. Only five countries have participated in all the Summer Olympic games .They are Greece,Great Britain ,France,Switzerland and Australia 
4. The only country to have won a gold medal in every Olympics is Great Britain.6.
5. France is the first country to host Olympics other than Greece.The 1900 Olympics was held in Paris.
